Over Advent we talked about the concepts of having a Grander Vision of Christmas. Living out the season that celebrates the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and seeing it for more than what is physically in front of us as far as decorations, gifts and traditions. A grander vision is seeing God at work through the Incarnation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Christmas in calling His beloved sons and daughters back into communion with Him and His Kingdom. I would like to ask if all of you would be willing to join me in 2015 in prayerfully connecting with God and seeing if He is calling us as His children and as His Son’s church to have, see and implement a grander vision for Centenary UMC? Let us take time to pray this January and see if God reveals to us His vision for what our church will be like in the coming year as well as the next four to seven years! Are there improvements we can make in worship? Are there different approaches we could make in our ministries? Are there upgrades we should make to our physical structure and resources so as to better enable to live out our mission to make disciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Feel free to e-mail me, make an appointment to tell me or maybe even post on the CUMC Facebook site what God tells you about a grander vision for CUMC. I really look forward to hearing from all of you and working with you all to begin implementing God’s grander vision for Centenary UMC in 2015.
Happy New Year and God bless you all!
