Fellowship Group

The Fellowship Group is primarily a service group, providing lunch for funerals and cooking for other events.  If you would like more information on this group, contact Pam Harker at 482-1579.
May Update:
I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped set up, brought food and served for Shirley Coy’s funeral luncheon on March 21.  Please keep her family in your prayers.  They were very thankful and appreciative for their meal.
We had our spring pasty bake on Saturday, March 28.  We made 128 pasties with 2 set aside for our lunch.  We had lots of fun and fellowship.  Our new ovens worked like a charm!  Thanks again to the Steve Schwartz family for the memorial donation to purchase the new ovens and to Sandlin Appliance for the installation.  Many hands make light work.  We prepared and set up Friday afternoon, and on Saturday we started making the pasties at 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.  Pasties come out of ovens every two hours with the last ones done at 4:00 p.m.  We have had lots of great feedback and hope to have another pasty bake in the fall.
We also hosted an Easter breakfast before our 10:30 church service on Easter morning.  Everyone enjoyed a wide variety of egg bakes, quiche, French toast bake, cinnamon rolls, donuts, muffins, and quick breads.  It was delicious.  Thanks to everyone who brought food, contributed to the breakfast, and cleaned up after.
Spring has sprung!  Happy May Day, and congratulations to all the graduating Seniors and college graduates!
Don't forget to sign up for the Red Cross Blood drive to be held at CUMC on Tuesday, June 10 from noon until 5:00 p.m.  Go to https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive to sign up to donate!  You can save lives!

April update:
Spring has sprung.  Our Fellowship Group will be hosting an Easter Sunday breakfast on April 20 from 9:15--10:15 a.m. before our 10:30 am service.   A sign-up sheet for donating items to bring to the breakfast will be in the back of the church starting on Sunday, March 30.  We are asking for donations of egg bakes, French toast bakes, rolls, quick breads, fruit, milk, and juice. Please come and enjoy a delicious breakfast before our celebration of our risen savior.
Thanks to everyone who came and helped and brought food for the funeral luncheon for Shirley Coy.  Her family was very thankful for our Fellowship Group serving the family.  Continue to have their family in our prayers.
Our spring pasty bake was held on March 29.  Prep was completed on Friday, the 28th from 1:30—6:00 p.m., and then we baked 126 pasties starting at 6:00  a.m. on Saturday.  Thanks to all who helped as we cannot do this without everyone donating their time and talents.
Thru a memorial donation from the Steve Schwartz family, our Fellowship Group was able to purchase new stoves for our kitchen in time for the pasty bake.  Thank you to Kathy and Steve's family for their generous donation!  We are so thankful.  Also thank you to Sandlin Appliance for their quick, professional service, placement of the ovens, and their advice picking them out.
God bless and have a Happy Blessed Easter.  Jesus suffered, died, and rose again for us all to take our sins away.
